Well, today marks the beginning of another adventure in life – I’m starting a new job!
About a month ago, I heard through the great vine that a Great Harvest Bread Co. was going to be opening near my house. If you’ve been following us for a while now you know that we LOVE Great Harvest… and we often send my Dad to Charlottesville whenever we get low on bread. And he normally comes home with something like this:
I jumped on the opportunity I was presented with and applied as soon as I possibly could. I wanted the job so bad. Getting a job at Great Harvest Bread Co. is pretty much my teenage dream job and I honestly can’t imagine working anywhere else.
So as you could probably imagine, after I dropped off my application, I was checking my email every five seconds and thinking every unknown phone call could be “the call” to schedule my interview. It took the owner about a week to get back to me, and you betcha that’s all I was thinking about that entire week. When the owner did finally call me back, I was the happiest I had been in a long time. (even though I hadn’t even gotten the job yet! Haha!)
When she called me, she asked me to come in the next day for an in-person interview. Little did I know that even before the in-person interview I was basically already “hired.” As soon as I walked in, she asked me a few questions and then showed me the schedule for the opening week… which my name was already printed on!! I was sooooo happy walking out that door, I seriously think I had a smile from ear to ear.
I am so excited to begin this new chapter in my life and I can’t wait to share every step with each one of you all!
