The easiest way to frost cupcakes. You don’t need a piping bag or any experience to frost cupcakes like a pro!
We are self-taught cooks here. We started this blog two years ago – I was 15 and I didn’t have any experience in the kitchen. Over the last two years, I have learned so much about food and flavors and cooking in general. However, if there is one thing that I continue to struggle with, it would be frosting cupcakes. For some reason I can never get my frosting to look as thick and and fluffy and perfect swirled as others food bloggers can.
The last time I was in the kitchen with cupcakes (that recipe is coming soon!!), I discovered a new and improved way to frost cupcakes without needing a piping bag. This method makes frosting cupcakes a pice of cake (no pun intended ). You have to try it!
What you’ll need is a cook scooper (I use a medium cookie scooper) and an off-set spatula or spoon.
To frost the cupcake, scoop out the frosting using the cookie dough scooper and drop the frosting on the top of the cupcake. Then spin your spoon or spatula in a circle, pushing the frosting out to the edges as your spin the cupcake. That’s it! One perfectly frosted cupcake!
When you are frosting the cupcake, be careful not to push the frosting out too much because the frosting will expand and settle a little bit after frosting.
